Bohemian Holiday - in collaboration with Apocryphonia
Sunday, Nov. 30th, 7:00pm - Christ Church Deer Park
This seasonal concert features a variety of works from the Czech Baroque period; Zelenka’s Magnificat in D, Vejvanovský’s Salve Regina, and Reichenauer’s O Coeli Rorate. We then venture into the classical era with two charmingly Mozartian works; Brixi’s Motetto Pastoritium, and the quintessential Bohemian Christmas piece, Ryba’s Czech Christmas Mass. The concert features soloists Grace Quinsey (soprano), Catharin Carew (mezzo-soprano), Alexander Cappellazzo (tenor), and John Holland (bass-baritone). The concert is with a chamber orchestra, conducted by Matheus Coelho. We will also have sing-along carols with audience participation. Don’t miss this concert of rarities and Canadian premieres.
